Forcing Destination Field Values

Occasionally, a destination field may require a value that is not contained within the source file. If such a value happens to be the same for all recipients, one can force the destination value into the field by right-clicking the destination field.

 

For example, assume that the "2nd TIN indicator" field had to be set to TRUE for all recipients. Since EXAMPLE_SOURCE.TXT does not contain a field for "2nd TIN indicator", you would right-click on "2nd TIN indicator" and type in TRUE, as shown in Figure 6 below.

You cannot force data into a previously mapped destination field.
Mapping to a previously forced destination field will delete the forced value.
